2025. A new year filled with new possibilities.

We’re starting things off with a brand-new book — Super Sonya vs the Woodpecker — in three different languages. Something we’ve never done before in a few ways.

  1. Our first ever children’s picture book
  2. Our first ever multi-language book
  3. Our first time working with a professional illustrator

All of these firsts represent risks. Will the children’s book find an audience? Will the additional languages bring new readers? Will we be able to work well with our illustrator?

Happily, McQuina Peters, our illustrator, is amazing and did a wonderful job on the book. She made the process exciting and fun. The other two risks will sort themselves out (btw, if you read the book and like it, please review it and tell your friends). Regardless of the risks, we are delighted with how the book turned out and cannot wait to share it with the world. I have it on good authority that our author, Michell Plested, is on pins and needles about this, especially how his granddaughter takes to the book.

We are confident she will love it.

You can order your own copy via the links on this page or go to your local bookstore and ask them to get it in (however you get it, Michell is always happy to sign them – just saying).

Planned projects

There are also a couple other books being planned for release this year. While we can’t get too specific just yet (need to see manuscripts and get the edits done), we have seen an early version of a new Mik Murdoch book (title still to be determined). It looks to be another exciting installment in the Mik Murdoch, Boy Superhero series. Michell assures us he will be focusing on it once Super Sonya is released (February 20th).

As soon as we have more details to share, you better believe we will.

We are also in talks to release at least one other book this year from another EAEP alumnus. Again, once we can share more information, we will do so.

Not yet open to queries

For those of you who are eager to send us your work, please know that this is a rebuilding year for us and we aren’t quite to the point where we can open up to queries. If you have something to pitch and can’t wait for us, we understand. We want to ensure that when we do accept new authors, we are able to give them the experience they deserve and produce the high quality books our readers expect.

Thanks for visiting

We value our readers and our creatives. Thank you very much for coming by. We hope to see you again and hear from you.
