This book wasn’t my favourite. The story idea is interesting enough; a young boy travels through a magical whirlpool to Atlantis and discovers he has been brought there because he is one of only three children who can save the city from destruction – but the actual page by page recitation of those happenings didn’t have the impact I was hoping for. I did appreciate that the three main characters were all flawed individuals who still had to figure out how to work together even though they constantly got on each other’s nerves.
